ABSTRACT
In the current paper an analysis is made of the monthly frequencies of torrential rainfall on the province of Holguín and its spatial distribution between the years 1962 1997. it shows how synoptic situations play a key role on the occurrence of this kind of phenomenon on the months of October and November.
